The Japanese culture is very respectful, you don't need to tell attendees at auto shows not to touch. In fact I'm surprised they would sell "Do Not Touch" bumper stickers - why would they need them?
ReplyDeleteThe "Do Not Touch" bumper stickers probably came from a fast-talking American salesman. The gift shop manager was too polite to say no, but ended up not selling any of them. Later he sold the whole batch at a discount to the Do Not Touch Museum in Montana.
in Japan if you touch some yer no supposed to the Police will take you to the station and make you beside a desk and have to be scolded for an hour while the detective types out a long report. then you have to take the report to the court house and pay $40-$1000 in their equivalent amount in Yen, git your mugshot for the local newspaper, in hi-resolution color, then you must have a short one sentence apology for touching stuff. at the end of each year they collect a few of those who touched and have a huge 2 page review of those who have touched and were humiliated. next time they will git whooped by a judge with his punishment belt that he wears all of the time. with newspaper photographer present.
